Why Should You Store Meeting Notes in Notion?
Meetings are crucial for any company’s ecosystem, so keep reading to learn the main reasons why you need to store your meeting notes in your Notion workspace!
1. For Knowledge-Storing
Notion makes it simple for organizations to keep track of everything from meeting minutes to new projects, to how past decisions have affected their current performance.
2. To Optimize Your Workspace
When teams rely heavily on collaboration, they must be able to understand the full context of all important discussions and collaborate remotely on meeting notes or summaries in real time.
3. To Keep Everyone In the Loop
Team members who can’t make it to every meeting can study the meeting notes by accessing their Notion joint workspace.
What Should Your Notion Meeting Notes Contain?
However, regardless of your meeting type and how you choose to capture notes during meetings, there are certain things your meeting notes should always include:
a. Attendees
The best format for recording meeting participants in your notes is to organize them by role and title. This will ensure you capture every attendee, along with what they said during the meeting, and provide a comprehensive overview. Additionally, it will make it easier for you to quickly check who attended the meeting.
b. Points Discussed
Organize your agenda and discussion points by itemizing them with bullet points, and use headings to divide larger topics into smaller ones. Keep the sections concise and limit them to two or three points. Include any pertinent details and data that will help your team further down the line.
c. Action Items
Ensure that all action items are clearly recorded and organized by structuring them as to-do lists and databases. Make sure to tag the responsible parties accordingly.
d. Conclusion
The conclusion should contain a brief overview of the meeting, any new decisions or agreements made, and the overall outcome of the meeting. Include references to all the meaningful contributions made by meeting participants, so that all team members can get a clear image of the conclusions that were reached.
